HAIRCUTS 4 HOMELESS

While at Barberfest  working for American Crew UK I had the fortune to be introduced to the team from Haircuts for Homeless. A fantastic organisation set up to bring a smile to people in need. By that I don’t just mean people that are homeless but people in need of some kindness. To feel noticed and engaged with instead of being walked passed because we are all too busy. As a barber a skill we learn along the way without much notice is the ability to listen to another and how to have the confidence to give eye contact  when listening and talking to people. Some of the stories from the team at Haircuts 4 Homeless brought a tear or two to my eyes. We are all people with a story and we all need to feel empowered to tell them.

This is statement out of the coffee table book Hear Me See Me. The book has been created to surpport the charity foundered by Steward Roberts and is a statement said by many people in Barbershops and Salons up and down the country. So why should it not be a statement for a homeless person. This is the reason I decided to become an ambassador for the charity and I with the help of my team from my two men’s hair brands Traditions Barber Shop @traditions25 and Attitude Mens Hair @attitudemenshair once my registration has been completed then I look forward to cutting the hair of the people that need to be listened too.

In the meantime I do understand this may not be for you but the book is a fabulous addition to a Barbershop or Salon coffee table so go to HAIRCUTS 4 HOMELESS online and for £49 you would be helping the program grow and make people feel good.

I also look for to sharing more of my thoughts and stories with you all here.
